Prayermedicine was founded by Steve to help others gain from his experience.

After completing an honours degree at a top English university Steve went onto a highly successful career in teaching eventually becoming Headteacher of a large primary school.

Unfortunately that’s when things began to go wrong, he became depressed started to drink too much, was divorced and lost custody of his children and had to leave teaching because of ill health. However after several years he began to rebuild his life through strong will and help from others.

Steve gained a new position as a live in warden of a respected sheltered housing group, repaid his debts, cut down his drinking and re-established good contact with his children. This was not enough when the next tragedy struck when his elder son was murdered outside a night club and Steve was once again cast into downward spiral of drink and hopelessness.

After several years in the wilderness of poor quality housing and ill health there was a glimmer of hope. There really were only two choices, either continue as he was and die fairly quickly as a broken and unfulfilled man, or find a way to do something that would point him in the right direction and that had to be upwards.

That’s when he devised Prayermedicine as a means of hope and as a first step to recovering a satisfying and meaningful life. It was a first important step to give Steve the courage and belief to start doing something about his life. Of course nothing can be guaranteed to work overnight but by sticking at it Steve now leads a fulfilled and contented life all through the release of his inner power which we all have. This was achieved by using Prayermedicine and by re- using it when necessary, to reinforce his inner power in order to continue down the right path.

Steve is now Chairman of his local community organisation, is a successful author and has strong financial interests in second hand books as well as all this he has a new, loving partner and many hobbies including being an amateur naturalist and local history; all this and he has stopped drinking too. This was almost as a side effect and came with difficulty and with help from friends but because he felt strong enough within himself he had put himself in a position where he could do it successfully.
